Mr Bush and Mr Cheney Actions and Policies Controversy

The presidency of George W. Bush was one of the most memorable presidencies of contemporary times. President Bush's dealing with the war on terror (attacks of September 11, 2001, the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq) and the economic troubles the country faced as he left office will mean his term in office will be the branch of countless hours of study and debate. Added to those two things is the fact that Dick Cheney was possibly the most active vice president ever. Mr. Cheney was the main man behind many of the administration's plans while the war on terror together with controversial imprisonments and spying.

Since President Bush and Vice President Cheney left office many grand habitancy have offered opinions on their policies. President Bush and Vice President Cheney had to react to the terror attacks of September 11, but were there actions necessary, were there actions legal? according to previous judge, Andrew Napolitano, the rejoinder is, "No." Judge Napolitano is author of Lies the Government Told You. Although he has no disagreements with how Bush and Cheney handled things like Chicagoland healthcare, he believes that both are criminally responsible for violating the constitutional rights of prisoners sent to Guantanamo Bay and for illegal spying.

News From Afghanistan

Another grand man who has commented specifically about Dick Cheney is previous Prime priest of England, Tony Blair. In his memoir Blair states that Cheney advocated the invasion of not only Afghanistan and Iraq, but that Cheney also favored invading Syria and Iran. For many citizens of the United States this sounds worse than be locked in a trauma town at a Chicagoland hospital while an ice storm. Blair's interpretation of Cheney's idea was that Cheney was looking to turn the entire Middle East, to root out the terrorists where they live.

We can see from the two above examples that George W. Bush's presidency and the policies of his vice president, Dick Cheney, will be scrutinized for many years to come. It will probably be easier to shape out the bureaucratic paper work of Bourbonnais healthcare then to decipher the controversial actions and statements of previous President Bush and Vice President Cheney.
